Staying Fit After 30

Is it really harder to stay fit in your 30s and beyond?

Let’s be real… our bodies are not the same as they were in our teens and even our early 20s.

We can’t get away with the same stuff.

As a teenager, you could stuff your face with whatever was at an arms reach and still be able to function for the most part.

In our 20s we could drink, party, stay up all night, and the next day it would be business as usual.

Now?

Well let’s just say it ain’t like it used to be.

Why is that?

And is there anything you can do about it before it becomes a problem?

When I approach fitness for folks in their 30s and beyond, there’s two lines of thinking.

First, are you holding on to the same habits you had in your teens and your 20s?

Sometimes its not that our bodies “can’t handle it anymore”.

Yes, our bodies change as we get older. But we also need to consider the slow burn that comes with taking habits that don’t serve us (but didn’t have much surface level impact) into our thirties.

Luckily it’s not too late.

In fact, it’s never too late.

The key is to take control and be PROACTIVE instead of having to be REACTIVE by circumstance

In this week’s episode of the VXG Podcast, I talk about what it’s like to navigate your fitness journey in your 30s and beyond.

This episode is valuable not only for people in their 30s and beyond, but also for those teens and 20 somethings to know what to expect when that window of “I can do whatever I want and still look good” starts closing in on you.

I talk about everything you need to take into consideration to maintain a healthy lifestyle, as well as tips to get in the best shape of your life no matter what your age is (hell, I can bet you will be in BETTER SHAPE NOW than you were in your teens and twenties)
